A Sparks Lake and Mt. Bachelor, Oregon Elopement
Brian and Danielle commissioned us to hang out with them for their Sparks Lake wedding near Mt. Bachelor. The plan was for them to get ready at McMenamins, downtown Bend, then head to Sparks Lake for a ceremony. If time and weather permitted, we would take the chairlift up Mt. Bachelor and have a few minutes on the slope of the mountain for portraits.
The plan worked and despite some rain drops throughout the ceremony and beyond, friends and family were treated to an intimate, personal and stunning ceremony with Mt. Bachelor in the distance.
Quiet and confident Brian has the most amazing eyes-and the way that he looked at Danielle throughout the day made it so fun to capture them as a couple. The amazingly sweet and beautiful Danielle made us feel like we were family and her vision for the day was a storytellers dream.
We’re always thankful for brides who are willing to go off the beaten path in their dress. Your images will always be better if you’re willing to go a few steps farther, despite dirt and rock. We never ask a couple to do more than they’re willing to and never call for the destruction of a dress. We cherish, “we trust you!” Brian and Danielle trusted us-and for that we’re thankful.
After the ceremony and portrait session on the mountain, the celebration continued back at McMenamins for some dancing and drinks with a cigar out back to finish things up.
We’re so thankful for clients (friends) like Brian and Danielle, we wouldn’t be who we are without them!
